There are two options for prayer and fasting:
- the Daniel fast (VEGETABLES AND WATER) 0r
- a full fast – eat after 6pm in the evening (DRINK WATER WHILE FASTING) and remember that if you are on medication or
pregnant please make sure that you eat before taking your medication and fast something that is important to you like watching TV, or eating sweets.
Prayer and Fasting is a set time that is set aside to get God’s attention, this can be done for personal reasons or for a joint decision for particular outcomes that have to be reached.
Joel 1 v 14: Declare a holy fast, call a sacred assembly. Summon the elders and all who live in the land to the house of the Lord your God and cry out to the Lord.
We have a God in heaven that understands and knows us therefore:
Hebrews 4 V 15-16 For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and may find grace to help in the time of need.
1 John 5 v 14: This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask any thing, according to His will, he hears us. V15: And, if we know that he hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have what we asked of Him.
We pray that you will be blessed as you stand with us and prayer for our vision that will be presented to you for 2017 and please would you adhere to the prayer requests on your prayer card. Let’s believe together for all that God has for us as individuals as we walk with Him and as His church.
