Anthony & Desiree Liebenberg are currently the Senior Pastors of LIFE Church in Cape Town, South Africa. The church is part of the Assembly of God Group in South Africa. They have been happily married since 1984 and have two daughters, Megan and Amy. Anthony and Desiree’s passion is leading people to a saving knowledge of Jesus and equipping them to be active in their faith by reaching out to their communities, to build where they live. Anthony came to Christ in 1983 at the height of his sport’s career at the age of twenty.  He represented South Africa at the world championships in Taiwan in 1982. He worked for over a decade in the Retail Industry doing business management for large retail companies.

Anthony and Desiree were called into the ministry in 1994.  Anthony has written several books, Desiree co-authored with him on one of his works. He has also helped establish a church plant in Mozambique and now in Malawi. At present he is working towards community transformation which He and Desiree established through the Ubomi Foundation, which is focusing on vulnerable orphan children.  Anthony travels extensively and speaks at conferences and churches overseas.

Desiree came to Christ in 1977 and has been involved in serving His purposes ever since. She heads up the woman's ministry called Divine and oversees all the social action of her church and is also involved in pastoral counselling. She has ministered in many churches in her area and conferences and churches overseas. Desiree has a passion to teach people that God has more for them and her desire is to see their dreams fulfilled in God.

Anthony & Desiree pastors LIFE Church with a committed team of people which is truly in the right sense of the words “A church in the city for the people and the nations.” LIFE Church is devoted to bringing change to the city by seeing peoples lives transformed through the many community ministries that the church has to offer.  Daily there are accounts of significant breakthrough in people’s lives.
